THE LOW PRESSURE AREA OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY INTENSIFIES INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION WHILE PASSING CLOSE TO GUAM
Location: 2,165 km East of Southeastern Luzon
Intensity: Max sust winds of 45 kph
Gustiness of up to 55 kph
Moving West Northwestward at 20 kph
• It is forecast to enter the PAR around Tuesday evening and may exit PAR around Wednesday morning (18 September).
Changes in the forecast time of entry and exit is still likely depending to the erratic movement of the weather disturbance in the next 12 hours.
• It is forecast to intensify into a Tropical Storm by tom afternoon or evening.
The possibility of further intensification is not ruled out, considering that the weather disturbance is still over the Pacific Ocean.
• Current track scenario shows that the Tropical Depression will not directly affect any part of the country throughout the forecast period.
