Vision

The Provincial Legal Office is a vital component of the Provincial Government of Quezon that is mindful of its accountability to the people of Quezon which efforts are all directed to uphold the rule of law and to uplift the lives of its constituents.

Organization’s Brief Description

The Quezon Provincial Legal Office shall be the principal and statutory counsel of all Local Government Units within the Province of Quezon. It formulates measures for the consideration of the Sanggunian and provide legal assistance and support to the governor, in carrying out the delivery of basic services and provisions of adequate facilities. It also develops plans and strategies and upon approval thereof by the governs, implement the same, particularly those which have to do with programs and projects related to legal services which the governor is empowered to.

FUNCTIONS AND SERVICES

The Quezon Provincial Legal Office serves as the cornerstone of legal support for the Province, among its functions and services include:

  1. represent the province in all cases of the provincial government;
  2. provide legal counseling/opinion for local officials on administrative and legislative matters;
  3. undertake research and studies on proposed ordinances and resolutions;
  4. provide /render legal opinion during committee bearings at the sangguniangpanlalawigan;
  5. draft, prepare and review legal documents of the province;
  6. render legal opinion on queries of constituents submitted to different government agencies;
  7. provide legal counseling to officials and employees of the provincial government as well as walk-in clients or the general public.
