Kaalinsabay nito ang pamamahagi ng mga reusable bags na magsisilbing isang paraan upang mabawasan ang paggamit ng plastic bags ayon sa Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PRNI) in the Department of Science and Technology.
Sinabi ni Carlo Arcilla, Director of the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PRNI) in the Department of Science and Technology, “The Philippines generates an estimate of 61, 000 metric tons of solid waste daily, up to 24 per cent of which is plastic. According to recent figures, the country is one of the world’s largest contributors of plastic waste leaking into the ocean.”
Maging bahagi ng solusyon at hindi ng polusyon!
