Sa inisyatiba ng QSHS Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team katuwang ang Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office at DRRM Offices ng iba’t ibang bayan ng Quezon kasama ang 404th Army Reservist ay matagumpay na naisagawa ang nasabing aktibidad na ginanap sa Quezon Science High School, Brgy. Isabang, Tayabas City.
Layunin nito na ang mga mag-aaral at guro ay matuto, madagdagan ng kaalaman at malaman ang mga basic skills patungkol sa DRRM tulad ng rappeling, knot tying, immobilization & spineboard management, emergency transportation, map navigation, bandaging, at hands-only CPR. Ito ay upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng lahat at bilang kahandaan na din sa anumang uri ng sakuna na posibleng mangyari sa kanilang eskwelahan.

Lingap sa Mamamayan Libreng Gamutan | May 18, 2024

Sa kabila ng mahigit sampung oras na paglalakbay at kinakailangan pang dumaan sa iba’t ibang probinsya, hindi ito naging hadlang sa medical team ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa pangunguna ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan katuwang si Vice Governor Third Alcala na maabot ng libreng serbisyong medikal ang mga kalalawigan nating nakatira sa Geographically Isolated and Disadvantage Area o GIDA sa Brgy. Umiray sa bayan ng General Nakar nitong araw ng Sabado, Mayo 18.
Libreng naibigay sa 2,694 na residente ng nasabing Barangay ang mga serbisyong medikal gaya ng Medical Check-up, Dental Extraction, Minor Surgery, Tuli, Eye Check-up UTZ, X-ray, ECG, FBS/RBS, at PCV vaccine, Cholesterol, Uric Acid, Urinalysis, at CBC testing.
Kasama rin sa pagbibigay ng tulong ang Provincial Veterinarian para sa may mga alagang hayop, gayundin ang Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) at Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) upang magbigay ng financial/medical assistance sa mga pasyenteng hindi naka-avail ng ibang gamot at laboratories.
Magpapatuloy naman ang Lingap sa Mamamayan, Libreng Gamutan sa iba pang bahagi ng lalawigan sa mga susunod na araw.

Turn-Over of Ambulance | May 18, 2024

Masayang tinanggap ng mga mamamayan ng Barangay Umiray sa bayan ng General Nakar ang pinagkaloob na bagong Ambulance Vehicle mula sa Sariling Sikap Program ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan ngayong araw, Mayo 18.
Malaking bagay para sa nasabing barangay ang magkaroon ng sariling ambulansya dahil mapapabilis nito ang pagdadala sa mga pasyente patungo sa mga pagamutan, sapagkat ang kanilang lugar ay malayo sa mga ospital at kinakailangan pang maggugol ng ilang oras upang makarating sa mga pagamutan.
Pinangunahan naman ni Vice Governor Third Alcala ang turn-over ng bagong ambulansya upang tuluyan ng mapakinabangan ng mga residente dito.

Distribution of Medicine to Barangay Health Workers of Brgy. Umiray | May 18, 2024

Kasabay ng isinagawang medical mission, ipinamahagi din ang food packs para sa 1,500 families ng mga residente ng Brgy. Umiray sa bayan ng General Nakar dahil sa pakikipagbalikatan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ngayong araw, Mayo 18.
Pinangunahan din ni Vice Governor Third Alcala ang Distribution of Medicine na mapupunta sa pangangalaga ng mga Barangay Health Workers para sa mga residenteng kinakailangan ng pantawid medisina.
Naipamahagi din ang kagamitan ng mga Barangay Tanod tulad ng flashlight at uniporme.
Lubos na nagpapasalamat ang buong kominidad ng Brgy. Umiray dahil sa mga tulong na kanilang natanggap ngayong araw.

Ribbon Cutting of School Buildings | May 17, 2024

Dekalidad na Edukasyon para sa Lahat ng Kabataang Quezonian!
Sa pamumuno ng Gobernadora ng Lalawigan, Doktora Helen Tan, isinagawa ngayong araw ng Biyernes, ika-17 ng Mayo ang Ribbon Cutting para sa bagong Typhoon Resilient School Buildings para sa Pamatdan Elementary School at Languyin Elementary School na parehong matatagpuan sa bayan ng Polillo, Quezon.
Ang bagong school building ng Pamatdan Elementary School ay may kabuuang pondong mahigit 6.2 milyong piso, samantalang ang Languyin Elementary School ay nagkakahalaga ng 8 milyong piso.
Samantala, naipagkaloob din ang kaparehong proyekto sa bayan ng Burdeos na kung saan ay nakapagtayo ng 2 buildings – 5 classroms sa Calutcot Integrated School na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit 15.3 milyong piso at 2 buildings – 7 Classroom naman para sa Carlagan Integrated School na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit 21.7 milyong piso.
Pinapatakbo naman ng 12 panels na Solar Power at mayroon ding Water Collector ang nabanggit na mga bagong gusali.

Matapos ipagkaloob ang Patrol Boat para sa mga bayang Isla ng Polillo at Burdeos, pinulong ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan ang mga miyembro ng Bantay Dagat sa nasabing mga bayan ngayon araw ng Biyernes ika-17 ng Mayo.
Pinaalalahanan ng gobernadora ang mga Bantay Dagat na malaki ang kanilang ginagampanang tungkulin upang masugpo ang mga illegal na gawain sa karagatan lalo na ang illegal fishing na labis na nakakaapekto sa mga lokal na mangingisda ng Polillo Group of Islands.

Blessing of Sea Ambulance and Patrol Boat | May 17, 2024

Sa inisyatibo ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan, isinagawa ngayong araw ng Biyernes, Mayo 17 ang pagbabasbas ng bagong Sea Ambulance at Patrol Boat para sa islang bayan ng Polillo na mapapakinabangan din ng iba pang island municipalities sa POGI Area.
Ayon sa gobernadora, ang pondo ng Sea Ambulance ay nagmula sa 20% Development Fund na magsisilbing daan para sa mas mabilis na pagtatawid ng mga pasyente patungo sa main land ng lalawigan, habang ang pondo ng Patrol Boat naman ay galing sa General Fund na napagdesisyonang may outrigger upang agarang makaresponde sa anumang ilegal na pangingisda at gawain sa Lamon Bay.
Target din na mabigyan ng Sea Ambulance ang bawat islang bayan sa POGI area, upang masigurong matutugunan ng mas maagap ang medikal na pangangailangan ng mga mamamayan nito.
Samantala, magbibigay naman ng rescue boat para sa bayan ng Burdeos na handog ng PDRMMO na magagamit sa pagtugon sa anumang sakunang maaaring mangyari sa karagatan

Congratulations Ma’am Norli and to all the awardees!
Ms. Norliza N. Labitigan of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) received her award as the Outstanding LSWDO of the Philippines (PSWDO Rank and File) at the 27th National Social Welfare and Development Convention and General Assembly on Wednesday (May 15) at the Iloilo Convention Center, Megaworld Blvd., Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Similarly, other awardees from Quezon are Mr. Leo James M. Portales. MSWDO Real – Outstanding MSWDO 1st to 3rd Class Municipality; Ms. Cepriana A. Montiero, MSWDO Dolores – Outstanding MSWDO 4th to 5th Class Municipality; Hon. Webster D. Letargo, LCE of Gumaca, Outstanding Municipal Mayor in Social Service 1st to 2nd Class Municipality; Hon. Orlan Calayag, LCE of Dolores – Outstanding Municipal Mayor in Social Service 4th to 5th Class Municipality; and Ms. Cristine Lacuna, Retiree and Former MSWDO of Polillo, Quezon.
The forum was organized by the Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers of the Philippines. Inc. (ALSWODOPI) with the theme, Unifying Forces: Local Government Units’ Catalyst of Collective Action, Social Movements, and Social Change”.
More than 2,000 local social welfare and development officers and social workers from different local government units attended.
