TYPHOON “LEON” UNDERGOES RAPID INTENSIFICATION OVER THE WATERS EAST OF CAGAYAN.

Location of Center (4:00 PM): 505 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan or 515 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.0°N, 126.5°E)

Intensity: 185 km/h, and central pressure of 955 hPa

Present Movement: West northwestward at 10 km/h

Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds: Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 660 km from the center

TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNALS (TCWS) NR 1

The northern and eastern portion of Quezon (Infanta, Real, Mauban, Perez, Alabat, Quezon, Calauag, General Nakar, Atimonan, Plaridel, Gumaca, Lopez, Guinayangan, Tagkawayan) Including Polillo islands

The wind flow coming towards the circulation of LEON will also bring gusty conditions (strong to gale-force) over Quezon until Friday 01 November 2024

Isang magandang balita para sa mga Candelariahin at Pagbilawin!

Ayon sa opisyal na ulat ng Department of Agriculture, idineklara na ang mga bayan ng Pagbilao at Candelaria bilang PINK ZONEs na muli. Nangangahulugan ito na ang mga lugar ay itinuturing ng nasa buffer zone at opisyal ng ASF – Free.

Ngayong Oktubre ay 2 munisipyo (Atimonan at San Andres) na lamang ang nagtala ng kaso ng ASF pero ang mga nagpositive na baboy naman ay agad-agad ding nadepopulate na.

Ipinapaalala pa rin ang patuloy na pagpapatupad ng mga biosecurity measures upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit sa ating mga babuyan. Hinihikayat ang lahat na manatiling mapagmatyag at sumunod sa mga alituntunin upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng ating mga alagang baboy.

“LEON” INTENSIFIES INTO A TYPHOON OVER THE WATERS EAST OF CAGAYAN.

Location: 565 km Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes (17.3 °N, 127.8 °E )

Movement: Moving West Northwestward 10 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 160 km/h

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1:

– General Nakar, Infanta, Real, burdeos, Jomalig, Polillo, Panukulan, Patnanungan

LEON is forecast to move generally west northwestward today, then turn northwestward tomorrow until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan on Thursday (31 October) afternoon or evening. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn to the northward to north northeastward over the Taiwan Strait towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday evening or Friday early morning (1 November). A second landfall over mainland China is not ruled out during this period.

“LEON” SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIES AND IS NEARING TYPHOON CATEGORY

Location: 645 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.3 °N, 127.8 °E )

Movement: Moving West Northwestward at 10 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 135 km/h

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1:

– General Nakar, Infanta, Real, burdeos, Jomalig, Polillo, Panukulan, Patnanungan

LEON is forecast to move generally west northwestward today, then turn northwestward tomorrow until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan on Thursday (31 October) afternoon or evening. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn to the northward to north northeastward towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday evening or early Friday morning (1 November).

Matapos ang Bagyong Kristine, bumista si Senator Mark Villar para sa Distribution of Family Food Packs sa bayan ng Mulanay, ngayong araw ng Oktubre 28 .

Sa tulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), tinatayang may 1000 food packs ang matatanggap ng apat (4) na Barangay na nasalanta ng bagyo kabilang ang mga Brgy. Ajos Santo Niño, Santa Rosa, Patabog at Butanyog sa bayang nasabi.

Sa ngalan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan, taos-pusong pinasalamatan ni Provincial Administrator Manny Butardo ang senador at mga sektor na nagtulong-tulong upang maipahatid sa ating mga mamamayan ang mga relief goods.

Samantala, asahan ang malawakang paghahanda ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa mga kalamidad na parating sa Lalawigan ng Quezon upang matugunan ang mga kailangang tulong ng mga Quezonian.

Sa pangunguna ni Vice Governor Third Alcala kasama ang mga Board Member na kinatawan ng bawat distrito sa lalawigan ay naaprubahan ang mga Ordinansa, Resolusyon, Atas tagapag paganap at iba pang liham, alinsunod sa mas lalo pang pag-unlad ng lalawigan ng Quezon.

Samantala, bumisita sa nasabing sesyon si Quezon PNP Provincial Director PCOL Ruben B. Lacuesta upang bigyang diin ang paghahanda para sa nalalapit na halalan kabilang sa mga hakbang ang paghimok sa mga kandidato na isuko ang kanilang mga Firearms bilang bahagi ng pagsisikap na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa panahon ng eleksyon gayundin na makipagtulungan sa mga kapulisan at maging magandang halimbawa sa paggalang sa batas. Ito ay inaasahang makakatulong sa paglikha ng mas ligtas na kapaligiran para sa mamamayang Quezonians.

Nagbahagi ang tanggapan ng Accomplishment Report gaya ng Bilang ng departamentong na audit na nakaangkla sa HEALING Agenda ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan.

Kaalinsabay ng seremonya, nagbigay ang nasabing tanggapan ng gabay para sa pagpapaigting at pag-iimplementa ng mga kinakailangan sa International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification at dekalidad na serbisyo ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quezon.

Samantala, sa ngalan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan pinasalamatan nina Vice Governor Third Alcala at PGENRO Head and Executive Assistant John Francis Luzano ang mga departamentong nakiisa para sa Internal Audit na isinagawa nitong mga nakaraang linggo ng Oktubre.

“LEON” MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS IT DECELERATES OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA

Location: 840 km East of Central Luzon (16.6 °N, 130.0 °E )

Movement: Moving Westward at 10 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNAL IN QUEZON PROVINCE

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK

LEON is forecast to move westward for the next 12 hours before turning west northwestward tomorrow (29 October) early morning. Considering the current movement, a further westward shift in forecast track is not ruled out. Afterwards, this tropical cyclone may turn northwestward by Wednesday (30 October) until Thursday (31 October).

LEON may make landfall over Taiwan by Friday (1 November) early morning before turning north northeastward towards the East China Sea. On the track forecast, LEON may pass closely over Batanes area by Wednesday or Thursday.

LEON is forecast to move west northwestward today through tomorrow (29 October) morning, then turn northwestward until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan on Thursday (31 October) afternoon or evening. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn to the northeast towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday morning or afternoon.
