Donations mula sa Australian-Aid, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Office of Civil Defense (OCD) at United Nation Human Migration | October 30, 2024

Taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa Australian-Aid, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Office of Civil Defense (OCD) at United Nation Human Migration sa mga natanggap na donasyon, nitong araw ng Oktubre 30.

Tinatayang nasa 500 sheets ng Tarpaulins para sa emergency shelter, 60 para sa Bayan ng Tagkawayan at 60 para naman sa Bayan ng San Narciso ang donasyon na magagamit ng mga Quezonian sa gitna ng bagyo at kalamirad. Sa donasyong ito’y mapoprotektahan ang bawat mamamayan sa banta ng mga sakuna at kalamidad na nararansan ngayon.

Ngayong Undas 2024, tingnan ang ilang mga safety reminders sa pag-alis ng bahay at pagtungo sa mga sementeryo.

Sa pag-alis ng bahay:

1. Planuhing maigi ang pagdalaw sa sementeryo.

2. Ikandado ang pinto at bintana.

3. Tiyakin na walang naiwan na nakasinding kandila, naka-plug na appliances, bukas na gas stove at gripo.

4. Iligpit ang anumanng mahahalagang bagay sa labas ng bahay.

5. Itagubilin sa pinagkakatiwalaang kapitbahay ang iyong bahay.

6. Iwasang mag-iwan ng notes sa labas ng bahay na nagsasabing walang tao.

Sa loob ng sementeryo:

1. Magdala ng panangga sa init at ulan.

2. Tiyakin na ang kandilang nakasindi ay hindi maglilikha ng sunog o sakuna.

3. Magdala ng sapat na pagkain o tubig inumin.

4. Tiyakin na ang mga bata ay mag pagkakakilanlan.

5. Bawal ang pagdadala ng mga deadly o bladed weapons, gamit pansugal, speakers, alak at paninda.

6. Alamin ang lugar ng First Aid station at PNP Assistance Hub.

VIOLENT CONDITIONS CONTINUE OVER EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON AS SUPER TYPHOON “LEON” PASSES CLOSE TO BATANES

Location: 100 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (21.3 °N, 122.6 °E )

Movement: Moving Northwestward at 20 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNAL IN QUEZON PROVINCE

LEON is forecast to move northwestward over the seas of Extreme Northern Luzon until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan by this afternoon. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn northward to north northeastward over the Taiwan Strait towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tonight or tomorrow early morning (1 November). A second landfall over mainland China is not ruled out during this period.

“LEON” CONTINUES TO THREATEN EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON AS IT INTENSIFIES INTO A SUPER TYPHOON

Location: 350 km East of Calayan, Cagayan (19.3 °N, 124.8 °E )

Movement: Moving West Northwestward 10 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 230 km/h

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 1: Infanta, General Nakar, Polillo Islands (Burdeos, Jomalig, Polillo, Panukulan, Patnanungan)

LEON is forecast to move northwestward over the Philippine Sea until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan tomorrow (31 October) afternoon. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn north northwestward to northeastward over the Taiwan Strait towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow evening or Friday early morning (1 November). TYPHOON “LEON” FURTHER INTENSIFIES AS IT MOVES WEST NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.

Location of Center (4:00 AM)

The center of the eye of Typhoon LEON was estimated based on all available data at 395 km East of Calayan, Cagayan (18.9°N, 125.2°E)

Intensity

Maximum sustained winds of 165 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 205 km/h, and central pressure of 935 hPa

Present Movement

West northwestward at 15 km/h

Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds

Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 680 km from the center

The northern portion of Quezon (Infanta, General Nakar) including Polillo Islands

The wind flow coming towards the circulation of LEON will also bring gusty conditions (strong to gale-force) over QUEZON until Thursday 31 October 2024.
