Muling isinagawa ang Kadiwa ng Pangulo sa Kapitolyo na may temang “Katuwang sa diwa at gawa para sa masaganang ani at mataas na kita (Kadiwa) ng pangulo” ngayong araw ng Martes, Abril 15 sa Quezon Capitol Compound, Lucena City.
Ang naturang programa ay inisyatibo ng Pambansang Pamahalaan katuwang ang iba’t ibang ahensya gaya ng Department of Agriculture at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) kung saan ito ay buwanang isinasagawa sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan upang direktang mailapit sa mga konsyumer ang mga dekalidad at sariwang produkto sa mas abot-kayang halaga.
Sa gitna ng pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin, malaking bagay ang hatid ng ganitong programa na nag-uugnay sa mga lokal na produkto at mamimili gayundin na naipapakita ang tunay na diwa ng bayanihan sa pagitan ng pamahalaan at mga mamamayan. Isa rin itong konkretong hakbang upang patuloy na itaguyod ang lokal na agrikultura at kabuhayan sa lalawigan ng Quezon.

Unified Efforts for Palay Procurement: OPA, NFA, and LGUs Work Hand-in-Hand | April 14, 2025

On April 11, 2025, the Office of the Provincial Agriculture (OPA) – Marketing Unit held a fruitful discussion with the National Food Authority (NFA) Lucena Branch and leaders of local irrigators associations to strengthen our province’s palay procurement strategies.
One of the key outcomes, The formal endorsement of Mayao Castillo and Dumacaa Irrigators Associations, allowing them to start selling directly to NFA by the last week of April. This means better prices and more stable market access for our hardworking rice farmers. The meeting concluded on a productive note, with all stakeholders expressing commitment to ensuring smooth implementation of the discussed programs. With the endorsement now formalized, both Mayao Castillo and Dumacaa Irrigators Associations are expected to begin marketing their produce to NFA as early as last week of April 2025.
OPA will facilitate further coordination, including the scheduling of pre-classification, and will continue to support local associations in meeting the requirements for quality and compliance.💪🌾
Also discussed were vital support programs like:
✅ Palay Marketing Assistance Program for Legislators and Local Government (PALLGU) – with added price incentives from the LGU
✅ Updates on NFA procurement guidelines, quality standards, and pre-classification steps

Para kay Rosebelly, 46 taong gulang mula sa Candelaria, naging maayos at mabilis ang kanyang karanasan sa isinagawang Surgical Caravan. Mula sa pagpasok sa ospital hanggang sa mismong araw ng operasyon, walang naging abala o pagkaantala sa kanilang proseso. Pinuri rin niya ang dedikasyon ng mga nars at doktor na nagbigay ng serbisyo, lalo na ang pagbisita at pag-aalaga sa kanila kinabukasan matapos ang operasyon. Ang pinakamahalaga para kay Rosebelly at sa kanilang pamilya ay ang kawalan ng anumang bayarin sa kanilang pagpapagamot, isang malaking ginhawa dahil sa kanilang kapos na pinansyal.
Kinumpirma rin ni Rosebelly na batay sa kanyang nakausap na mga naunang pasyente, wala rin silang binayaran. Ibinahagi niya ang obserbasyon na mas dumarami na ang mga pasyenteng lumalapit sa ospital simula nang mapalaki ang pasilidad, dahil na rin sa patakaran ng “zero balance billing.” Ito ay isang napakalaking tulong para sa mga kababayang nangangailangan ng medikal na atensyon ngunit walang sapat na pondo. Ang Surgical Caravan, kasama ang patakarang ito, ay tunay na nagbibigay ng lunas na abot-kamay para sa mga kapos-palad.

On April 13, 2025, a meaningful partnership blossomed in Barangay Mamala as the Mamala Uno Vegetable Farmers Cooperative (MUVFC) headed by their President Ms. Carina Relativo, successfully completed its first institutional agri-trade with Kita.ph, a rising institutional buyer in the agricultural sector. This milestone was made possible through the dedicated support of the Quezon Provincial Agriculture Office (OPA), particularly its Marketing Unit and Vegetable Production Unit. The transaction involved over two tons—or 2,095 kilograms—of freshly harvested, high-quality “Lucky Ball” cabbage, proudly grown by MUVFC farmers. This initiative marks a significant advancement in local agricultural development, as it connected grassroots producers directly with institutional markets, ensuring better income opportunities and a more stable demand for their produce.
More than just a business transaction, this partnership represents a win for everyone involved—farmers, buyers, and the broader local economy. Retooling Skills of OPV Personnel on Rabies Eradication and Control Program | April 14, 2025

Matagumpay na isinagawa ang “Retooling Skills of OPV Personnel on Rabies Eradication and Control Program” para sa labinsiyam (19) na OPV personnel mula sa iba’t ibang dibisyon, na ginanap noong April 4, 2025 sa Office of the Provincial Veterinarian Conference Hall sa Brgy. Talipan, Pagbilao, Quezon.
Pinangunahan ito ng pambungad na pananalita ni Dr. Milcah I. Valente na siyang nagbigay rin ng mahahalagang impormasyon hinggil sa Republic Act 8485 o ang Animal Welfare Act, gayundin sa Mass Vaccination Guidelines. Kasunod naman ang presentasyon ni Dr. Philip Maristela na tinalakay ang Republic Act 9482 o ang Anti-Rabies Act at ang wastong proseso ng decapitation para sa rabies sample collection. Si Dr. Camille Calaycay naman ay nagbigay-linaw tungkol sa sakit na rabies, kabilang ang mga umiiral na programa laban dito, tamang mekanismo ng pagbabakuna, at wastong paghawak at pag-iimbak ng mga bakuna. Bilang pagtatapos, nagbigay ng pangwakas na mensahe si Dr. Adelberto Ambrocio.
Ang ganitong uri ng pagsasanay ay nagpapakita ng kahalagahan ng patuloy na pagkatuto at pag-unlad ng kakayahan ng mga kawani. Isa itong hakbang sa pagbibigay-lakas sa mga miyembro ng organisasyon upang maging mas handa at epektibo sa kanilang mga tungkulin gamit ang mga makabago at napapanahong kaalaman.
