THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH WHILE ACCELERATING NORTHWESTWARD

Location: 1,065 km East of Eastern Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR)

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, Gustiness of up to 70 km/h,

Movement: Moving Northwestward at 45 km/h

It steadily moves northwestward at a fast pace and may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow (4 November) early morning as Tropical Cyclone MARCE.

It has a high uncertainty forecast:

1. It may move more westward towards Extreme Northern Luzon or mainland Luzon or

2. It may move erratically over the Philippine Sea east of Extreme Northern Luzon.

As such, this portion of the track forecast is highly likely to change in the succeeding advisories or bulletins.

It will bring rains over Extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon beginning tomorrow or on Tuesday.

Unless there is an intermediate issuance, the next tropical cyclone advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.

THE LOW PRESSURE AREA OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY DEVELOPED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION

Location: 1,315 km East of Eastern Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, Gustiness of up to 70 km/h

Movement: Moving Northwestward at 30 km/h

β€’ It may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow (4 Nov) as Tropical Cyclone MARCE.

β€’ From Wednesday until the end of the forecast period, the tropical cyclone will move northward, then westward at a slow pace over the Philippine east of Extreme Northern Luzon.

It has a high uncertainty due to two possible scenarios:

1. It will move more westward towards Extreme Northern Luzon or mainland Luzon or

2. It will move erratically over the Philippine Sea east of Extreme Northern Luzon.

As such this portion of the track forecast is highly likely to change in the succeeding advisories or bulletins.

β€’ It may enhance the surge of northeasterly wind flow which may occur within the week.

This, and the trough of the tropical cyclone, will bring rains over Extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon beginning tomorrow or on Tuesday

Ngayong Undas 2024, tingnan ang ilang mga safety reminders sa pag-alis ng bahay at pagtungo sa mga sementeryo.

Sa pag-alis ng bahay:

1. Planuhing maigi ang pagdalaw sa sementeryo.

2. Ikandado ang pinto at bintana.

3. Tiyakin na walang naiwan na nakasinding kandila, naka-plug na appliances, bukas na gas stove at gripo.

4. Iligpit ang anumanng mahahalagang bagay sa labas ng bahay.

5. Itagubilin sa pinagkakatiwalaang kapitbahay ang iyong bahay.

6. Iwasang mag-iwan ng notes sa labas ng bahay na nagsasabing walang tao.

Sa loob ng sementeryo:

1. Magdala ng panangga sa init at ulan.

2. Tiyakin na ang kandilang nakasindi ay hindi maglilikha ng sunog o sakuna.

3. Magdala ng sapat na pagkain o tubig inumin.

4. Tiyakin na ang mga bata ay mag pagkakakilanlan.

5. Bawal ang pagdadala ng mga deadly o bladed weapons, gamit pansugal, speakers, alak at paninda.

6. Alamin ang lugar ng First Aid station at PNP Assistance Hub.

VIOLENT CONDITIONS CONTINUE OVER EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON AS SUPER TYPHOON β€œLEON” PASSES CLOSE TO BATANES

Location: 100 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (21.3 Β°N, 122.6 Β°E )

Movement: Moving Northwestward at 20 km/h

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNAL IN QUEZON PROVINCE

LEON is forecast to move northwestward over the seas of Extreme Northern Luzon until it makes landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan by this afternoon. After crossing the landmass of Taiwan, LEON will then turn northward to north northeastward over the Taiwan Strait towards the East China Sea and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tonight or tomorrow early morning (1 November). A second landfall over mainland China is not ruled out during this period.
