EARLY RESTORATION

Early completion of corrective activity in Quezon, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte today, 21 October 2023.

Power transmission service was restored along Gumaca-Progreso and Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Lines serving QUEZELCO I franchise areas at 5:23AM and 5:53AM respectively, more than 1 hour ahead of scheduled completion.

Schedule: 5:00AM-7:00AM

Affected: QUEZELCO I

Reason: Emergency shutdown of Gumaca-Progreso 69 kV Line and Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69 kV Line to return tapping of the latter’s line to its feeder

Specific affected areas are determined by the distribution utilities. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled

Restored: Gumaca-Progreso and Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Lines

Reason: Emergency shutdown of Gumaca-Progreso 69kV Line at 2:03PM to reenergize Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Line that tripped at 11:52AM of October 18 due to cut Overhead Ground Wire between structures 64 and 65 at Brgy. San Vicente, Gumaca, Quezon.

Update on the unscheduled power interruption in parts of Quezon, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte on 18 October 2023 at 11:52AM

As of 9:45AM, NGCP personnel are now fixing cut Overhead Ground Wire between structures 64 and 65 at Brgy. San Roque, Calauag, Quezon, which has been identified as the cause of tripping of Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Line. Assessment of defective circuit breaker for part replacement at Gumaca Substation is also ongoing.

NGCP is exerting all efforts to restore the line at the soonest possible time.

We apologize for the inconvenience brought by the unscheduled power interruption.

As of 5:00AM, NGCP dispatched 2 line gang to patrol Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Line again and maintenance group to repair circuit breaker at Gumaca Substation.

NGCP is exerting all efforts to restore the line at the soonest possible time.
