GENERAL FUNCTION MANDATE
- Formulate, update and implement the Information Systems Plan of the Province;
- Improve the delivery of basic services to the people by providing strategic, reliable and cost-efficient information and communications (ICT) infrastructure, system and resources;
- Devise mechanism using information technology for purposes of transparency and accountability in government transactions:
- Recommend, evaluate and inspect the following: the purchase of latest software, computer parts and peripherals, and upgrading of computer hardware;
- Monitor, repair and configure the IT equipments of the provincial government;
- Assist in the layout and printing of promotional materials of the Provincial Government;
- Establish a continuous website development program;
- Serve as a data gathering partner for the Provincial Tourism Office and Community Empowerment and Development Unit.
- Provide system development assistance and program design to the departments and offices of the provincial government;
- Perform other related functions as may be deemed necessary and as may be assigned.
