Php 3,525,000.00 Worth of Serbisyong Suarez Health Coupon Distributed to 141 Barangays in Quezon’s 3rd District

The captains of the 141 barangays that make up Quezon’s 3rd district personally received Php. 25,000.00 worth of Lingap Kalusugan sa Barangay health coupons from the provincial government’s Serbisyong Suarez para sa Kalusugan, which could be used to cover hospitalization costs in public hospitals and in purchasing medicine.

The health coupons – with a total worth of Php 3,525,000.00–were gifted to the municipalities of Padre Burgos, Agdangan, Unisan, Macalelon and Pitogo this January 16, 2013.

According Gov. David C. Suarez, the current administration is doing its best to improve health care in Quezon, particularly in the quality of service in public hospitals throughout the province. He asks for the support of his fellow Quezonians to achieve this goal and promises that appropriate action shall be given to hospital employees who will be proven guilty of misdemeanour.

Gov. Suarez added that patients need only to take the whole name of the doctor, nurse or any other hospital employee with unprofessional or unethical behaviour and they can report it to his office.

Former 3rd District Congresswoman Aleta Suarez, who was also present during the event, said that the barangay captains were thankful for the help given by the provincial government. The health coupons distributed through the efforts of Serbisyong Suarez para sa Kalusugan have particularly contributed to alleviating the needs of the Quezoniansfor affordable healthcare.

Also present during the health coupon distribution are Senior Board member Romano Franco “Mano” Talaga, 3rd district Board Member Lourdes De Luna Pasatiempo, 3rd District Board Member Victor Reyes and the municipal heads of the 5 towns that make up the 3rd district – Mayor Rhadam Aguilar of Agdangan, Mayor Maria Liwayway Tan of Macalelon, MayorRoger Panganiban of Padre Burgos, MayorDanteoBuñag, Sr. of Pitogo, and Mayor Nonato Puache of Unisan.(QUEZON PIO)
